In July 2024, Alireza Amidi became the first President of the United States Air Sports Federation (U.S.A.S.F.) and the World Air Sports Federation (W.A.S.F.) — and the first person of Persian descent to hold the position.
A lifelong air-sports athlete, he raised the USA's PGA individual ranking from 96th to 1st in Pan-America and advanced Team USA from 0 to 26th worldwide. He authored the regulatory framework now guiding both federations toward safety, structure and discipline.
